Buscando candidaturas para “Una tierra para la vida”

The award will recognize innovation and excellence in sustainable land management, particularly collaborative efforts that promote soil health and reverse land degradation, particularly in the context of climate change.

Three winners will be selected by an expert jury which will grant awards from a total prize fund of up to USD 100,000. Nominations are welcome from individuals, businesses, research and academic institutions, local governments, journalists and civil society organizations. The deadline for applications is 15 March 2014.

We are particularly interested in activities that encompass efforts related

to:

-land and soil restoration

-ecosystem-based adaptation

-climate change, food security and land management -gender, climate change and land -community-based adaptation and mitigation efforts as they relate to land and soil -advocacy efforts for healthy land and soil -climate change adaptation and mitigation in the drylands
